Some early reviews say:
"The gorgeous mix of meandering instrumental arrangements, expansive
ambiance, and wonderfully earnest vocals creates a sort of spacey
chamber pop that seems to float wherever the wind may take it." "...a moving piece of art that aims to explore ambience and mood without skimping on the actual music...
this will be the best thing you've heard in a very long time."
- The Plugg
"...awkward, charming and endearing."
- Music Saves (Album of the Week)
"...music solely for daydreamers... elaborate orchestration, ambient fuzz and electronic distortion..."
- Cleveland Free Times
"... fast becoming my favourite album I've heard this year..."
- My Inland Empire
"Sure, there are some stellar parts, but all the in-between stuff will put you to sleep."
- Cleveland Scene Magazine (since this is exactly what we intended, we'll take this criticism as a complement) |

Oh yeah, a kind of new thing!
"Selected Early Songs" from the out-of-print first two Trouble Books albums ("Such a Sound Sleeper" and "A Dull Roar") and the first demo EP. This is what we were up to in 2005-2006; less ambient and more song-oriented than "United Colors...". Debra has hand-drawn a bunch of covers, but we're probably not going to make terribly many of these. Just wanted to give everyone the chance for seven minutes in heaven with the skeletons in our closet. Recorded on cassette, sortof not really mastered, burned onto CDr. |
